Sponsorship Opportunities for 2024

Brunswick City sincerely thanks and welcomes back all returning 2024 sponsors, and warmly invites new sponsors to join the BCSC family. Sponsors play a vitally important role in supporting BCSC’s commitment to community, youth, and women & girls’ football participation.

We have sponsorship packages for those who are passionate about contributing to our gender equity movement, and want to be part of the Spartan Family.

• We’re making fantastic progress towards our club’s 50/50 gender equity goal with 40% of our committee members who are women, 37.5% of Miniroos are girls teams, and 66% of our Junior Community teams are girls teams.

• Our commitment to community has positioned the Club as the area leader, with Go Soccer Mums growing to two programs with 40 women learning the game & enjoying the benefits of physical activity, social connection & the joy of the game.

• Our weekend Social Programs provide non-competitive opportunities to children wanting to experience the enjoyment of our game. On Saturday mornings, Dunstan Reserve plays host to 40-50 girls (5-10yrs) participating in these programs, all coached by women.

• Our commitment to development provided opportunities for young players to be challenged by playing at higher levels. U16 players participated in our Senior Men’s matches. Six U16 Girls players featured in our Senior Women’s team this year.

• Our player commitment has resulted in our 2023 U21s squad having greater than 40% representation of players that joined the club at the age of 7 years old.

None of this is possible without the overwhelming generosity from our sponsors. We have a range of amazing packages available for 2024. We would love to have you on board next year.

We invite you to review our packages below and contact our President Loui Kastanos via email info@Brunswickcity.com.au to lock in your sponsorship for Season 2024.

NPL2 Rd26 – Final Game Report

The Brunswick City Spartans played Preston Lions for the final round of the 2023 season.

Brunswick City needed to get a result and hope that Brunswick Juventus did not get a win i their final game.

Brunswick City took to the field and began the came very strongly, however could not find the back of the net. After a tense first half, the scores were 0-0.

In the second half, Brunswick City came out with a stronger purpose, and were able to go ahead 1-0 in the 49′, through Jesse Makarounas. Atter some tense moments, we scored a second goal via Austin Wong in the 80′, where the team thought that the job was done for survival in NPL2 for 2024. The coaching staff decided to make all the changes and bring all players off the bench, to give them the final taste of senior football for 2023, with 4 changes in the last 5 minutes.

This is where Preston Lions fought back, snatching a goal in the 90′, then winning a penalty in the 94′, which they converted and levelled the scores 2-2.

However, this is how the game ended up, and it was enough to ensure NPL2 survival for another season.

2023 Pink Round Fundraiser

The Pink Round Fundraiser is an event which has been running on the final round of the junior boys NPL season since 2016.

This year we will be running the event again, where we raise funds to be donated to the McGrath Foundation for much needed Breast Care Nurses. Our target this year is to try to raise at least $5,000.

All junior boys NPL teams will be wearing pink socks on that day to support the cause, from U14s to U18s. We will have many stalls on the day, running raffles, so we are looking for support, volunteers and donations.

Please email the club at info@brunswkcitysc.com.au if you want to help or get involved.

Committee Roles – Expression of Interest

Just like every grassroots sporting club, volunteers are the heart and pulse which keeps the club running. Brunswick City has been in existence for over 50 years, with the club founded in 1970. Since then, the game has changed considerably and we now have both male and female teams, with the female program growing year on year. A sporting club is a great place for young boys and girls to experience a team sport, get off the couch a few times a week, and build some long term relationships. They learn life skills which will be with them for the rest of their lives.

We have recently had our long term club president step down, after completing his duties for the last 10 years. We are looking for the next generation of custodians to show their interest and join the club committee, and even show an expression for leading the club and settings its direction for the next 5 years or longer.

We would love to hear from anyone who is interested in stepping in, having a chat with the current committee, and being open and transparent in discussing what is needed to continue the operations, the relationships with all partners we work with, and the vision you will be bringing to the club.

Please email the club at info@brunswickcitysc.com.au
